The UK subsidiary is currently in a build-up phase and you will be the one implementing the local processes almost from the beginning. As the local business grows, so will the organization, thus giving the right person opportunities to continue to grow with the company. But initially the finance function will only be you. Being part of a newly created regional office, you will also be expected to go above and beyond your job description. You will therefore be a key stakeholder for ad-hoc administrative and commercial support when need be.

With this role you will have direct responsibility for accurate and timely reporting for Daniel Wellington UK. You will report directly to the General Manager of UK and have a dotted line to the Accounting Manager of Europe and the finance team in Stockholm, Sweden. You will be based in our office near the Old Street Station in Hoxton working with a team 11 passionate and talented people.

You will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and supervising the day-to-day accounting operations and acting as the local administrational support. In short, your main responsibilities will be:  

  • Manage the accounts payable and the accounts receivable
  • Reconciliations, petty cash and cash flow
  • Maintaining the general ledger
  • Guarantee 100% compliance with all relevant local legislation (e.g. statutory accounting standards, tax law, civil law) and internal group accounting guidelines
  • Managing the year-end audit process
  • Your support will be required for ad-hoc commercial tasks and wholesale management in the early stages of the organization set up ie: wholesale customers credit management and orders to name a few
  • Other ad-hoc tasks  


You are amazing at managing your priorities while working with multiple stakeholders in different departments and different areas of your defined region. You have strong self-leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience 
  • Experience from Microsoft NAV Dynamics (Navision) is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to drive business initiatives
  • Great analytical skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
